Inspection by the Construction Code Official or agent for compliance with Borough ordinances before any transfer of title or new occupancy
Smoke detector compliance (CSDC) from the Fire Official; no certificate of occupancy is issued until smoke detector rules are met
Carbon monoxide alarm required before a certificate of continuing occupancy issues
Request form lists closing date, open permits, seller and buyer names and phones, and a Use of Building Affidavit
Title may transfer after the application is filed, but no one may occupy until listed corrections are completed

Requirements

Smoke alarm on each level and outside each sleeping area near the bedrooms (Borough Code 165-22); battery smoke alarms are accepted under the Borough Code, but state rules require 10-year sealed battery units
At least one carbon monoxide alarm inside each dwelling unit; battery units accepted
No dwelling may be sold or have its occupancy changed until it complies
