Requirements

Battery smoke alarms must be 10-year sealed lithium battery units
Smoke alarms cannot be older than 10 years from the manufacture date
Smoke alarms on each level and outside each sleeping area; hardwired alarms must stay hardwired with battery backup and cannot be swapped for battery units
CO alarm near all sleeping areas (within 10 feet of all bedrooms) if there are fuel burning appliances or an attached garage
The district's current forms still list a portable fire extinguisher: at least 2-A:10-B:C, no more than 10 pounds, within 10 feet of the kitchen in the path of exit, not next to the stove, mounted on the maker's bracket with the top no more than 5 feet above the floor, with the manual left for the buyer, and a service tag from a state-certified contractor within 12 months or a purchase receipt under 12 months old
House numbers visible from the street: Arabic numerals, contrasting color, at least 3 inches tall, mounted at least 30 inches above grade
Owner or representative 18 or older must be present at the inspection
