- Application with the $125.00 fee; mark Sale or Rental and give the date and time the premises can be inspected
- Buyer's name, phone and email, number of new occupants and bedrooms, and names and relationship of the people moving in
- Seller's name, phone and email and signature
- Possible inspections by the Zoning Officer (zoning compliance) and the Construction Official (apparent Construction Code violations); the code also lists Tax Assessor, Board of Health, Fire Prevention, Property Maintenance Officer and Engineer

Smoke and CO alarm certificate
Required- Requirements
- Smoke alarms on each level of the home within 10 feet of every bedroom door between the door and the living area (not crawl spaces or unfinished attics with pull-down stairs); photoelectric type if within 10 feet of a kitchen
- Basement alarm on the basement ceiling within three feet of the stairwell; alarms fixed with screws, not tape or Velcro
- CO alarms required in units with a fuel-burning appliance, fireplace, woodstove or attached garage, centrally located outside each sleeping area within 10 feet of every bedroom door; UL 2034
- Smoke and CO alarms must be less than 10 years old; single-station battery smoke alarms must be 10-year sealed battery alarms; existing hardwired alarms may not be replaced with battery alarms
- Central station monitored fire alarm systems need an NFPA 72 test report and proof of monitoring, or the inspection fails
- Secondary power source (solar PV, backup generator, home battery) warning label within 18 inches of the main electrical panel and electric meter (effective February 3, 2025)
- Portable fire extinguisher (older Township form and the Smoke Detectors page still list it; the newer CSACMASPIL form does not)
