- Transfer Certificate of Occupancy (Housing Certificate of Occupancy / Certificate of Continued Occupancy on resale)

- Borough of Victory Gardens Code Enforcement Department (signed off by the Code Enforcement Officer, Fire Official, Electrical and Plumbing Subcode officials)
- Requirements
- Submit a completed Application for Inspection for Housing Certificate (Resale) with the fee before closing and title change
- Book the inspection when you apply; a checklist is available from the Code Enforcement office
- Someone over 18 must be present for the inspection
- All permits and inspections must be completed before a Housing Certificate of Occupancy is issued
- Inspection is signed by the Code Enforcement Officer, Fire Official, Electrical Subcode and Plumbing Subcode officials
- A temporary certificate is possible only for renovation (property sold as-is, not occupied until permits are taken out and paid for)
- The application must be hand delivered to the Borough at 337 South Salem Street

Smoke and CO alarm certificate
Required- Requirements
- Smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm compliance under N.J.A.C. 5:70-2.3 (the Borough does not post its own checklist online)
