Requirements
  • Completed application and fee paid before an inspection is scheduled
  • Full interior and exterior property maintenance inspection, including room measurements for sleeping capacity
  • All open construction permits inspected and approved before the C of C is issued
  • Exterior: sidewalks, drainage, weeds, accessory structures, unlicensed vehicles, siding, roof, gutters, windows, doors
  • Interior: stairs, handrails and guards, bathroom venting, dryer exhaust, plumbing, heating, electrical (GFCI), means of egress, sanitation and pests
  • Smoke detectors (10-year sealed battery units), carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers
  • If violations remain, a Temporary C of C may be issued with the buyer's letter agreeing to correct them within 30 days
