Landlord registration statement
A form New Jersey landlords file that lists the owner, managing agent, an emergency contact, and mortgage holders. Non-owner-occupied one- and two-unit rentals file with the town clerk; buildings with three or more units file with DCA.
New Jersey example
Your landlord owns a two-family house in Camden and doesn't live there, so they must file a registration statement with the city clerk and give you a copy in writing. If they file to evict you without registering, the court must hold the case for up to 90 days so they can comply, then dismiss it if they don't.
