Quarterly tax installments

New Jersey property taxes are paid in four installments each year, due February 1, May 1, August 1 and November 1. The dates are set by state law, so they are the same in every town.

New Jersey example

Say your yearly property tax is $10,000 and it didn't change from last year. You would owe $2,500 on each due date: February 1, May 1, August 1 and November 1. Towns on a calendar year are due to mail the year's final bills by June 14.
