- Requirements
- Smoke detectors on each level and outside each sleeping area (10 year sealed or hardwired)
- Carbon monoxide detector near all sleeping areas (less than 10 years old)
- ABC fire extinguisher mounted within 10 feet of the kitchen, no larger than 10 pounds (as printed on the form)
- Windows open and stay open
- GFCI outlets where required, working properly
- Metal dryer vent connector, not plastic
- No garbage disposal (not allowed by Borough ordinance)
- Sump pump discharge meets Borough ordinance
- Sidewalks and curbs in good condition
- Permits obtained for all work (plumbing, electric, furnace, water heater, etc.); open permits may delay the certificate
- Furnace or boiler certification or checklist by a licensed HVAC or plumbing contractor
- Level 2 chimney certification by a nationally certified chimney sweep for a wood-burning fireplace

Required- Requirements
- Smoke detectors on each level and outside each sleeping area, 10 year sealed battery or hardwired
- Carbon monoxide detector near all sleeping areas, less than 10 years old
- The Borough sale form still lists an ABC fire extinguisher within 10 feet of the kitchen (form footer Revised: 01/2025, after the February 2025 state change)
