School bond referendum

A ballot question asking voters in a Type II school district to approve school bonds for a building project. In Type I districts and Type II districts with a board of school estimate, that board approves the borrowing instead of voters.

New Jersey example

Made-up case: a Type II district without a board of school estimate wants to borrow for a new wing. Its board of education writes the ballot question for an annual or special school election. The question must name the project and the amount to be raised. Several projects can share one question or be split into separate questions.
