Attorney review period
When a real estate agent or broker prepares a New Jersey home sale contract, it must include an attorney review clause. The buyer and seller then have three business days from delivery of the fully signed contract to have a lawyer review it.
New Jersey example
Made-up example: a buyer and seller sign a contract their agents prepared, and fully signed copies reach both sides. For the next three business days, either side's lawyer can propose changes or cancel the deal. If the parties instead have a lawyer write the contract, it may or may not include this review period.
