• Application lists seller, approximate date of purchase, buyer, property type, whether the house number is displayed and whether it is a rental property

Smoke and CO alarm certificate Required

• House number at least three inch numerals next to the front door, five feet above the door saddle, contrasting and visible (Ordinance 88-23)
• At least one smoke detector on each level including basements (unless the original CO required more); replacement battery units must be 10 year sealed UL approved
• Smoke detector in the bedroom area within 10 feet of the bedrooms; hardwired/interconnected units must work and be under 10 years old
• Active monitored fire alarm systems need paperwork from the alarm company before the inspection
• Carbon monoxide alarm on each level with bedrooms, within 10 feet of the bedrooms, in homes with fuel-burning appliances or attached garages
• Chimneys and smoke pipes properly sealed
• No open permits with the Construction Department
• Fire extinguisher (Township page and code still list it)
