  • Smoke detectors on each floor and in the basement; carbon monoxide detectors where there are fuel-burning appliances or an attached garage
  • Portable fire extinguisher per N.J.S.A. 52:27D-198.1 (code still lists it)
  • Sidewalks, driveway aprons and curbs in good repair and safe condition
  • The inspection report records water meters and remote readers, number of units and kitchens, and any sump pump and where it discharges
  • Application in affidavit form with owner, buyer, representative, number of future occupants and sale price
