• Curb, sidewalk, driveway and apron free of major cracks and tripping hazards
• Roof, gutters, siding, masonry, exterior doors, windows and screens in good repair (roof, electrical, HVAC, water heater and plumbing certifications may be required)
• Exterior steps, decks, porches, guardrails (36 inch) and graspable handrails in good repair; decks and sheds must have been permitted
• Chimney in good repair; certification required if a wood burning appliance is present
• Pools permitted, clean, with self-closing gate and 48 inch minimum enclosure
• Smoke alarms hardwired or 10 year sealed lithium, working, on every level in a common area
• Carbon monoxide alarms on each level in a common area
• ABC fire extinguisher, 10 lbs or under, within 10 feet of the kitchen
• Stove anti-tip device; bathroom, kitchen and dryer ventilation working
• GFI outlets in bathroom, kitchen, laundry and within 6 feet of any water source
• No double keyed exterior locks; no keyed locks on interior doors
• Walls, ceilings and floors in good repair; exterior grounds clean, no unpermitted fire pits
