Resale Certificate · Township of Saddle Brook Building Department (Construction Official / Fire Official inspection; Property Maintenance Officer checks the exterior)

• Proof of payment of the $200 water meter fee (Water Department)
• Payment of the Resale Certificate fee, a completed application and an approved inspection
• Ten-year sealed battery smoke alarms on each level and outside each sleeping area; hardwired alarms (installed after 1995) in bedrooms, near bedrooms and on each story, not replaced with battery units
• Carbon monoxide detector within 10 feet of all sleeping areas
• Low voltage fire alarm systems tested by a licensed electrician or fire alarm contractor, with the report submitted before the inspection
• Secondary power source warning label (generators, solar, battery storage) within 18 inches of the main panel and meter
• Property Maintenance Officer inspects the sidewalk and the whole exterior
• Open permits are checked on the application
