Certificate of Occupancy Required
Certificate of Continuing Occupancy (CCO) / Certificate of Resale/Rental Residential Property · Borough of Rockleigh Construction Office (Construction Official)
- Written application by the owner or agent, saying whether the property is to be sold
- General inspection showing no apparent violations and no pending violations, orders or open matters with the Construction Official
- Use of the building must have existed before (no unapproved change of use)

Smoke and CO alarm certificate Required
- Smoke alarm on each level and outside each separate sleeping area, near the bedrooms (Borough code)

- Portable fire extinguisher (ABC type, no larger than 10 pounds, mounted within 10 feet of the kitchen) (Borough code still lists it)
