Resale Certificate of Occupancy (RCO) · Long Beach Township Construction Office

• Fire extinguisher: at least 2A:10BC, within 10 feet of the kitchen, no more than 5 feet off the floor, visible and mounted
• CO alarm within 10 feet of all sleeping areas if there is a fuel-fired appliance or attached garage
• Smoke alarm in each living space; battery units must be 10-year sealed; hard-wired or interconnected alarms in homes built after January 1977 must be kept working
• House number visible on the house (a mailbox does not count)
• Handrails on all stairs with 4 or more risers
• Flood vents free of obstructions
• Concrete sidewalks and curbs where applicable (Boulevard)
• Buffer on windows at stairs or landings where applicable
• Water meter installed and activated
• No open permits: all permits paid, inspected and closed out
• All structures in the right-of-way removed before the certificate is issued
• Property visually inspected for compliance with general Township ordinances
